Intake ("we", "us") provides buy-side purchasing software for jewelers and pawn shops. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it when you visit intakepos.com or use the Intake application.

Information we collect

• Account and store data from Shopify when a merchant installs Intake (shop domain, staff who sign in, locations, and related store settings needed to run the app).
• Customer and transaction data that merchants enter while recording buys (seller identity and ID details, item descriptions, payouts, photos, and compliance records). Merchants are the controllers of this data; we process it to provide the service.
• Usage and technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, and logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the service.
• Communications you send to info@intakepos.com.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve Intake
• Authenticate users and protect accounts
• Support compliance features merchants configure (for example reporting integrations)
• Respond to support requests
• Meet legal obligations

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with service providers that host or operate parts of Intake (for example cloud hosting, email delivery, and Shopify when the app is installed), and when required by law. Merchants may also export or submit data to third parties they connect (such as compliance networks).

Retention

We keep information for as long as a merchant account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, or security purposes. Merchants can request deletion of their tenant data by contacting us; some records may be retained where law requires it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and encryption of sensitive secrets at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

Merchants and their staff can update store settings in the app. To access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, email info@intakepos.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.

Children

Intake is a business product and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
